Hm, monday, 12th May, back to work again..
usual place, minus the lecture rm which we had before..
dun tink i hav to talk much bout tis cos Raynor has expressed most of my sentiments too..
hehs
well, got 2 big arrows this time around..
and probably thanx to someone else as well . =x
The good thing is probably i'l get to be kept busy with things,
and perhaps i can sort myself out too,
have my own "escape" from everything and everything..?
Actually i've kinda been waiting for this period to arrive so that i could have a break from school,
and then move away from many things, and get my thoughts and feelings sorted out..
been in this turmoil for too long, i jus wanna straighten myself out too..
my own mini getaway.. haa.
sigh...
I went for a run today.. in fact, 2 runs .
T i r e d , but feeling fine still. haha
Jus that im having jelly legs and arms now..
Enjoying my runs ..
Thought that this video is super meaningful.. (video is in 2 parts)

LOL. Big arrows.
Somehow I feel we should relinquish the use of the term "arrows" as far as possible eh?
Not that I defend Keith in any particular way, but I seriously don't feel that he is all out to stab us in the back and risk losing us as friends. In fact, is there a probable malicious intent that you can think of?
Rather, if you think in the direction that the fact we are from NUS and the two guest speakers are also from NUS, wouldn't you make the same logical choice given you in his shoes? Assuming Ma'am Tin specifically requested the VAs. Or will you feel that Perry should do the job?
Yeah, I know that there's names and all this time round in the comments, but taking this on a serious note, I felt that it's a potential pitfall to jump onto easy conclusions like this, i.e. receive an assignment equates to clearing shit; receive an assignment equates to some big time arrowing so people can watch us die and mock gleefully.
Why can't it be that there's really no better person to do the job except for us? I mean, not everyone started off doing something of an astronomical scale. All these paper writing and project handling probably give us a head start to bigger tasking.
Don't get the wrong idea that people will take us as the "Yes" man or that we are allowing others to form the dependency on us. It will be our responsibility to bring this matter to Ma'am Tin and tell her that we have problems doing a good job instead of forming negative impressions of the people there.
It's not easy to materialize these positive thoughts we conjure if we don't believe in them at all. Think about it eh? :p
And it may well be the same reason why we have an intrinsic fear in bringing matters up to higher authority.
Not that bad after all eh?
hhaha, im not entirely disagreeing with u.. in fact i quite agree with u, with regards to all these being a headstart to bigger things in future. yup, im not saying tat we shld all think negatively.. in fact, we shouldn't, cos its all harmful to us in the end..
But u also need to think deeper. What is the ultimate intent of those people? u have seen and heard for urself bout the golf thing, and the malay week thing.. (im not saying that every single person is like that) but i'm sure u agree that we shld also be more careful in this sense, much as we want to approach it positively..
Imagine, if wl and i had not tried to shield it off on wed night and delayed the committing of time til next wk, we'd have found another thing on our hands, and having seen how words can be twisted ("ma'am tin say ok already"), we might end up finding ourselves a big event in our hands since we probably "agreed" to help out. Again, im not saying that negative and "suspicious" thinking is the way, if it seems so right now.. but if we are not careful enough, ultimately we're the ones who will suffer a horrible death. Dont u feel tat it's unreasonable tasking us things which we totally dont know about, yet they expect something good jus becos "we're officers"? things which we are not in the better-placed position to do, yet we find ourselves blind-sided? yah, i'm the so-called most senior tis time (not tat u'r far off too if u realise.. haha. u came in just 1 2mths after i did.) But that doesnt mean that i noe everything that well. Its so different from our time compared to Keith's time where things were still more open and many things were made known.. Furthermore, there have been so much time to follow up on RHD and the speakers' program after Sanjev left, they themselves had been the ones who said they wanna open up more and interact with the outside world, yet they come in and decide to do so last minute things, just because we're from NUS isnt a good enough reason i feel. Being in NUS doesnt mean we know the prof. If that's the best reason and being in NUS is the best way, then isnt that abit far-fetched? oh and btw, the 2nd speaker isnt from NUS. He's from NTU..
