Haha, do you really want an answer to that?
I bet you already have an answer; It's a leap of faith. As scary as it seems, you have a 50% chance of getting a positive response, as well as a negative one.
The difference being, you wouldn't know what's the result if you remain stagnant. Just in case you receive a classic rejoinder of being "over-zealous" on your actions, just tell the person to view this with an open mind.
